Does it make sense to have a site in 2022?
Since today this site is not known by search engines, I tried to inform myself on how to make it spread.
During this adventure I seen what the other .iblogger.org authors have done with their own web site.
There are various interesting sites, but they weren't well indexed.
My thinking is that the web is filled of too much web sites, and hardly the people want to search for a site;
normally the time is spent on YouTube™, Facebook™ or other famous social networks.
Today a web site borns to be a niche; search engine won't show it in the top results, unless the content is a
rare gem. People hardly take a web site as a reference; the search engine is the reference. Web sites become
containers where the information is, but the user does not become attached to a site. For example, I often
visit StackOverflow™ but I never signed up. I never go to StackOverflow for searching the information; I search
the information through a search engine.
For companies, a web site is an advertising showcase. Once that was also a vending machine, but today the
clients trust on big distributors only (like Amazon™, ePRICE™ and others). Only wholesalers can permit to sell
through their own web site.
Does it make sense to have a website in 2022? I want one for sure, because it's a diary and an experimentation
place. Furthermore, by adding informations periodically, I can feel to be part of a big community. Many web
sites profile the user, (to date) my site doesn't. I don't know who enter in the web site, what he or she watch
and download. But I like to know that what I'm sharing is useful.
